Hey, guys. It's Jake here with etrailer. Today, we have a 2023 Nissan Pathfinder and we're gonna be taking a look at, and I'm gonna show you how to install the Tekonsha 4-pole wiring harness. Adding a 4-pole wiring harness to the back of your Pathfinder is gonna allow you to safely tow a trailer by transferring the signals back to the taillights to let others know what your intentions are. This harness is gonna give you your left turn, your right turn, your stop signal, which is just a combination between the left and right turns and your running light signal. The other, the fourth pole is going to be the ground. more

Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at "etrailer". And today, we're taking a look and installing the Tekonsha seven-pole trailer wiring on a 2019 Nissan Pathfinder. If you ever plan on towing a trailer with your vehicle, it's essential to pick up trailer wiring. And that way, you can plug into the trailer and mimic the light sequence on your vehicle to the trailer, keeping you safe and legal. And sometimes your four-pole will get you by, but on larger trailers, sometimes you have a seven-pole connection and it's nice to have that seven-pole because you can also get a 12-volt outlet from it as well as the ability to run a brake controller, so that's why we have our seven-pole installed on our Pathfinder today. Overall, the installation is pretty easy on this. more

Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer and today we're taking a look and installing the Tekonsha T-One Trailer Wiring Harness which is gonna be a 4-pole on a 2022 Nissan Pathfinder. Now if you are planning on towing any trailer with your Pathfinder you are gonna need to pick up some 4-pole wiring and that's gonna allow you to send your running lights, your brake lights, and turn signals to the lights on the trailer, keeping you safe and legal. But also a lot of accessories these days as far as bike racks or cargo carriers will also take a 4-pole if they do have LED wiring on them. So it's a good option to have installed on your vehicle and this one is super easy to get installed. It's plug and play, there's no splicing and you have everything you need in your kit to get this wired up. Pretty simple, you're gonna be plugging in to an interior plug that's gonna match to your new harness. more

Hey everybody, how's it going Today we're gonna be going over and showing you how to install the Curt T-Connector trailer wiring harness here on our 2018 Nissan Pathfinder. So our trailer wiring harness is gonna be one of the few different items we need in order to tow a trailer. And the list of those other items is gonna be a trailer hitch, and a ball mount slash hitch ball. Now we obviously have options for all these at etrailer, so make sure you check those out. But the trailer wiring harness is gonna be what's gonna transfer these signals from the vehicle to our trailer, so we can let other motorists out on the road know what signals we're gonna be making. A lot of the times our camping trailers actually block the taillights on the vehicle, so we still need a way to transfer the signals, that way we can arrive to our destination safe and sound, not to mention it's also a legal requirement in every state. more

Today in your 2020 Nissan Pathfinder, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install Tekonsha's seven pole vehicle wiring harness.We have assembly connector located here at the back of the vehicle. That's going to provide our trailer with all the necessary lighting functions, as well as functionality to charge our battery and for the braking system that's installed on the trailer. So inside we have seven circuits. That's going to include your left turn signal, right turn signal, tail lamps and brake lamps, keeping you DOT compliant in all States with the proper lighting, as well as a brake signal circuit, which is the output from your brake controller and auxiliary charged circuit, which is for the battery on your trailer to keep them topped up, as well as a ground circuit, which is required for your trailer, to be able to be connected to the battery in your vehicle, for that charge circuit and the brake controller.And lastly, we have a reverse light circuit in there, which many of your trailers out there don't have reverse lights, but it's always nice to have that option, in the event that you have a trailer that does have reverse lights. So in your Pathfinder, this is going to be great if you're planning on using it to pull something, let's say like a popup camper, or even a small camper. With our seven way here, it's going to have the functionality we'll need for a brake controller because many campers do have brakes on them. more

It provides us with a 4-pole connection for our trailer, to provide us with all the necessary lighting, to keep us DOT compliant in all states. This includes our left turn signal, right turn signal, tail lamps, and brake lamps. Also, on the end of our connector here, we receive a dust boot, since it does live outside the vehicle, and this helps keep out dirt, debris, and moisture to ensure a long-lasting connection, and it can also be used to secure it to the safety chain loop on your hitch, to keep it up out of the way.What's nice about this harness is that it plugs directly into your factory wiring harness on your vehicle, so there's no cutting or splicing. We just simply need to plug in the harnesses that come included with it, and then install the relays that come included with it. Now our Tekonsha four-pole wiring kit is going to provide us with a four-pole trailer connector so we can safely get down the road and have all the required lights on our trailer, like our taillights or turn signals and our brake lights. Our wiring is designed to stay on the outside of the vehicle at all times. So it will be right by your hitch whenever you need to hook up. Speaker 1: Today on this 2013 Nissan Pathfinder, we'll be having a look at and showing you how to install the Tekonsha T1 vehicle wiring harness for factory two package vehicles with the seven way trailer connector, part number 118273.Here's what our seven way looks like installed. The seven way connector will allow us to tow most trailers out there, even ones that have electric brakes, provided we have a brake controller installed on our Pathfinder. On the seven way connector, we'll have electric brake output, we'll have a 12 volt charge line, we'll have backup lights, turn signals, brake lights, tail lights, and running lights. On all of our lighting circuits, we have a maximum power output of 10 amps per circuit, which is more than sufficient power to tow a trailer that has many incandescent light bulbs or as many LED lights as you want because they do draw less power. On our trailer brake output, it is rated for 20 amps, and on our 12 volt charge line, it is rated for up to 30 amps.We have a nice dust cover here, which is spring loaded. This will protect our connector when it is not in use. more

Today on our 2017 Nissan Pathfinder we'll be taking a look at and installing the Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector, part number 118670. Here's what our wiring looks like installed. As you can see, it's a four-pole flat connector here, which will give us our running lights, our turn signals, tail lights, and our brake lights on our trailer. It's all the lighting functions that are required by law in order for us to safely tow a trailer. Now, our wiring has this nice dust cover that's built into it to help protect it from the elements and any dirt or corrosion that could possibly occur. That way, when you're ready to hook up to your trailer, you'll know your wiring will be ready to use at any given time. What I really like about the Tekonsha wiring harness that we used today is it's really easy to install, plugs right in, and it gives you adequate length wire to run the wire right down next to your hitch. more

We have the ability to use a brake controller with this to have electric trailer brakes. We also will have a charge line to charge a battery in our trailer and also for towing a boat trailer that has a reverse lockout solenoid. more

Today in our 2016 Nissan Pathfinder, we'll be installing a Tekonsha T1 vehicle wiring harness for factory tow package with a seven way trailer connector. Part number 118273. Here's what our seven way connector looks like installed. This will give us all of our required by law lighting functions that we need for our trailer as well as giving us a 12 volt power source to charge any batteries that we have in our trailer, back up lights if we have them on our trailer. If our vehicle is equipped with a brake controller, we'll be able to run our trailer's brakes through this connector. What I really like about this kit is it's very simple to install, there is no splicing of wires anywhere. It all is plug and play using existing connectors already on the vehicle, and you don't have to supply power to it directly from the battery. The vehicle is already pre-wired for that. more

Today on our 2015 Nissan Pathfinder, we're going to take a look at and show you how to install the Tow Ready T-1 Vehicle Wiring Harness, with the 4 pole flat trailer connector. Part number is 118670. Now, to test our wiring, we're just going to use a test light. We'll use the ground clamp on the ground stud there. That way we can test to make sure we've got a good ground. Then, the first inaudible 00:00:21 for that should be our running light, so if we have the headlights turned on the car, we should get a constant signal coming through our tester. more

Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2000 Nissan Pathfinder- Video
Today we are going to be installing wiring harness part number 118361 on a 2000 Nissan Pathfinder. And this installation will also apply for the Infiniti QX4 as well. The wiring installation is actually going to be done predominantly on the inside of the vehicle here. What we need to do is, I have actually opened up the rear hatch of the vehicle. Connecting points for the wiring harness are actually located behind the interior panels on both sides of the vehicle, directly behind the tail light assemblies. So the first thing I am going to do is go ahead and take out the six screws holding the rear threshold piece and then pry away the rivets on the sides to gain access to the connectors. We will just set that off to the side for the time being, and I will go ahead and pull back the carpeting. more
